Process innovation: from manual crimping to electrical thermoconnection
The project, carried out thanks to European funds from the Emilia-Romagna Region, concerns the purchase of a new thermoconnecting machine.
Thanks to the new electric thermoconnecting machine it was possible to improve and automate the eyelet crimping process, i.e. the connection of the metal eyelet with the copper wire. Previously this operation was carried out manually and involved multiple steps.
The process innovation has had an implementation, not only on processing, but also on energy saving, worker health and safety, and lower environmental impact.
